9 Best Free Shows in Las Vegas, NV

If there’s something the city of Las Vegas has to offer, it’s an unlimited number of options when it comes to entertainment and fun. In fact, if you’ve visited Las Vegas before, you know it’s extremely easy to spend all your coins in a matter of hours. However, it isn’t always like that, especially if you know where to go or who to ask.

Here at Las Vegas Jewelry and Coin Buyers, we’ve created an amazing list of the best free shows in Las Vegas, so you can enjoy our city without breaking the bank.

Fountains of Bellagio

The Fountains of Bellagio is probably the most popular free show in Las Vegas, and the fountains represent a small version of Lake Como in Bellagio, Italy. This impressive show features huge moving water jets, multicolor lights, rolling mists, and an ever-changing soundtrack that can go from Broadway to opera classics.

For the first time in history, you can enjoy an electronic dance music show created by DJ Tiësto that features stars such as Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Elvis Presley, and Frank Sinatra. This iconic show begins every 30 minutes between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m., starting earlier at noon on weekends and holidays, and then every 15 minutes from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Fremont Street Experience

Frequently described as an adult carnival, the Fremont Street experience boasts the world’s largest LED screen, and it’s called Viva Vision. This experience features 12.5 million lights and 550,000 watts of sound in the canopy above the street. You get to enjoy digital art, galaxies, and ocean imagery, as well as plenty of amazing downtown street performers and three stages with nightly entertainment.

Additionally, you can hop between various kiosks, shops, and casinos along the street. The show starts every hour from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. and there’s a different musical mix each time. Don’t forget to try the SlotZilla zip line for a full Fremont Street experience.

Circus Circus Act

As the world’s largest permanent circus and one of the most popular free shows in Las Vegas, the Circus Circus Act is a must-see during your visit. Here you’ll find acrobats, aerialists, jugglers, and unicyclists performing incredible acts for 10 whole minutes. Shows run every hour from 1:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 11:30 a.m. until past midnight Friday through Sunday. The best thing is that every show features unique groups of performers, so you can enjoy different acts every hour.

Note that it’s best to go about half an hour early, as stands start to fill up 15 minutes beforehand.

Fall of Atlantis

If you’re a Greek mythology aficionado, you can’t miss the Fall of Atlantis show inside the Forum Shops at Caesars. This is an animatronic display of water, fire, panoramic videos, and fireworks, plus 9-foot-tall talking statues narrating the story of the lost city of Atlantis. You’ll be able to watch King Atlas’ children, Gadrius and Alia, fight to win over their father and rule Atlantis’s throne. Don’t miss on the 20-foot winged dragon and the flaming sword wielded by Gadrius.

Something you should know about this show is that the costumes and props were created by the team who worked on “Thor” and “Pirates of the Caribbean”. The show runs hourly from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday through Monday.

The Silverton Hotel Aquarium

The Silverton Hotel boasts a 117,000-gallon reef aquarium that houses more than 160 species and over 5,000 exotic fish from all over the world, including stingrays, angelfish, sharks, parrotfish, and colorful corals. In addition to its impressive number of marine species, this aquarium is known for its mermaids, who swim among the fish while interacting and playing with the kids watching from the outside.

If you’re wondering how the mermaids breathe underwater, these scuba-certified professionals get air from small hookah ports in the tank. Additionally, the divers in charge of feeding the stingrays have built-in speakers in their suits to answer any question from the audience. The mermaids swim on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with sessions starting at noon, 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., and the stingray feeding show runs daily at 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Streetmosphere

As you may have already heard, there’s a miniature version of Venice in Las Vegas that includes St. Mark’s Square, the Venetian canals, and the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian, where you can enjoy the Streetmosphere. These 15-minute performances give you a taste of Italian culture thanks to the many singers, dancers, musicians, living statues, and gondoliers wandering the streets.

The performances include Carnivale de Venezia, The Venetian Trio, and a Gondolier March. This combination creates a fusion of opera, acrobatics, choreographed dances, juggling, and more.

Lake of Dreams

Walk in the Wynn Hotel and enjoy the free show that is Lake of Dreams — an interactive spectacle full of thousands of LED lights, innovative art soundscapes, colorful puppetry, an impressive musical soundtrack, and a 90-foot waterfall. You can see the show from several places, but the most popular is out on the show’s terrace, where you’ll have a water’s edge view. Alternatively, you can go to Parasol Down and see it from there.

The show runs daily every 30 minutes from dusk until 11:30 p.m.

Mirage Volcano

The Mirage Volcano was the first show that started the freebie movement in Vegas, so this list wouldn’t be complete without it. Unfortunately, the Mirage Volcano is being removed at the end of 2022 to make space for a new Hard Rock Hotel. So, if you want to experience the Mirage Volcano before it’s too late, then head to the Mirage hotel right after sunset and watch how this volcano erupts and spews water, steam, and fireballs 12 feet into the air.

Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Sign

No trip to Las Vegas is complete without visiting the famous Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign. This landmark has been welcoming visitors since 1959, and although it was initially on the outskirts of the city, it’s now surrounded by hotels and attractions.

We hope you have an amazing experience at these free attractions, and if you ever need coins, get in touch — we’ll help you sort it out.
