Chimera Golf Club
Location: 901 Olivia Parkway, Henderson.
The Chimera Golf Club is the ideal place if you love playing on a traditional desert course featuring 18 pristine holes. This golf club is open to the public and comes highly rated for its friendly staff and challenging layout. Its 68 sand bunkers and numerous water hazards make it fun to play and encourage you to up your game. However, the par 72 course is good for novices and experts alike, thanks to its four sets of tees. Visit the course’s Old World Tuscan Village for dining, shopping, and more.

You’ll notice how the course plays into the Red Rock Canyon theme you see in the surrounding landscape.

The course features a mix of sand bunkers, water hazards, and undulating terrain that will keep you challenged while having fun.
Hike a Trail
Nevada has incredible beauty that can only be truly appreciated when you get out and enjoy it. Here are some amazing hiking trails you should explore nearby:
Cornerstone Loop Trail
Location: Cornerstone Park.
Because this is an easy loop trail, it can get busy, but you can find solitude here at less busy times of the day. The trail is 1.3 miles long and loops back around to where it starts, making it a good choice not just for hiking but also for running and jogging. Most people can complete this trail in about 26 minutes, but you might take longer, especially if you stop to snap some photos along the way.
Pittman Wash Trail
Location: Arroyo Grande Sports Complex.
The Pittman Wash Trail is a paved path that extends for 8.5 miles. Although the trial isn’t strenuous, most people don’t hike it all at once. It’s great for pushing strollers, walking dogs, or jogging. You can access this out-and-back trail via a paved parking lot off of North Arroyo Grande Boulevard. But be aware this lot only has seven parking spaces, so you may have to find another place to leave your vehicle while you hike.
Black Mountain #404 Trail
Location: Sun City Anthem.
If you really want to challenge yourself, head over to the Black Mountain #404 Trail. This 7.5-mile loop trail will lure you into a false sense of security, as much of it is only moderately difficult. However, it gets very challenging near the end, and you’ll have to scramble to the top. When you get there, you’ll be rewarded with fantastic views, making your struggles all worthwhile.
